Poker Central partner with Jeep; 2019 Poker Masters schedule released.

Jeep will sponsor Poker Central’s High Roller of the Year series, and the 2019 Poker Masters schedule grows.

Poker Central partner with Jeep; 2019 Poker Masters schedule released.A friend of mine recently told me that she saw a shark while surfing in Hawaii. She was chilling underneath a cliff notorious for throwing baby birds into the sea. Each time they went ‘plop’ the sharks would arrive on cue to have some chow.

It’s not the smartest place for a surfer to hang.

It’s safe to say; my friend is not going to compete in the World Surf League, anytime soon.

Jeep sponsors the World Surf League, and this morning, when I was making porridge, I learned that the automotive giant had entered another game where sharks wait to eat you alive – poker.

Taking a leaf out of the World Poker Tour’s (WPT) book, Jeep becomes the first sponsor of Poker Central’s High Roller of the Year award.

The Jeep High Roller of the Year is a point system based on ARIA High Rollers and High Rollers from ARIA partners. Poker Central awards the winner $100,000 in prize money, rake-free entry into all ARIA High Rollers for the coming season, and, of course, the Purple Jacket.

The top five leaders at the time of the Super High Roller Bowl Lottery are also granted a seat into the event if they want to compete.

Here are the qualifying events.

It’s the boldest lineup since the inception of the Poker Masters. In its first year (2017), there were five events, all of which were $50,000 No-Limit Hold’em with a $100,000 No-Limit Hold’em Main Event capping things off. Steffen Sontheimer won two events to win the Purple Jacket.

A year later, the series grew by two more events, spread the price points between $10,000 and $100,000 and introduced Pot-Limit Omaha and Short-Deck events. Ali Imsirovic won two games, to become the second player with a Purple Jacket in his closet gathering dust.
